The Design Phase

 

1. Site Survey

A member of our design team will attend the property and conduct a measured survey as well as talk about high level design concepts for your project.

2. Budget,
Concept & Design

Led by our design team, and working to initial budgets we work together to produce a detailed design document, it is here that you will start to see your project come to life.

 

3. Planning Submission

Once you have signed off the project design, a planning application is submitted to the local authority for approval.

4. Structural

Once the design has been put forward for planning, our structural engineer will develop the structural design and supporting calculations required for building control.

 
 

5. Interior Design

If you take on the interior design package with Silvermill, it is at this stage you will sit down with our wonderful interior design team to detail the look and feel of your project.

 

 

The Pre-Construction Phase

 

1. Pricing Proposal

We will produce a project proposal detailing all associated costs.  This is a vital part of the process and requires a very detailed breakdown.  This will give you an complete understanding of your project costs and budgets.

2. Compliance

On acceptance of our proposal, we will engage in a compliance review which will detail regulation requirements such as Party wall notices, Building control applications, Utility requirements.  It is key to action these items in good time so not to delay the project commencement date.

 
 

3. Contracts & Holding Deposit

The proposal having been agreed is converted into a contract document which is signed by both parties.  An invoice for a holding deposit is raised, on payment your project start date is confirmed.

 
 

 

The Construction Phase

 
 

1. PROJECT TEAM ASSIGNMENT

Two weeks before the commencement of your project, you will be assigned a Project manager and Construction Manager.  It is at this stage you will be given access to your cloud based project portal which will allow you to track and monitor your project as well as communicate with your project team.

2. PRE-START MEETING

Prior to commencement of the build project, a pre-start meeting is held on site with all key stakeholders to ensure that all parties are ready for the commencement of the works and to clarify any outstanding items.

 

3. PROJECT CONSTRUCTION

The site team will deliver your project, to time and budget whilst maintaining the highest levels of workmanship at all times. Health & Safety on site is paramount on all Silvermill sites.  A regular site meeting will be scheduled.

4. PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Having a single point of contact for your project is essential.  Your project manager will be available to you throughout the project to ensure the project runs smoothly and without delay.

 

5. PROJECT COMPLETION

The final few weeks of your project will involve the introduction of our finishing team.  Any snags are dealt with during this stage of the project to your satisfaction. The project team will begin to prepare for project inspection and handover.

6. Handover

Your project is complete and Silvermill will supply you with a detailed Operations and Maintenance Manual which will include all information pertaining to the build and installed items as well as all relevant certificates.


 

Aftercare Phase

 
     

    Snags

    Depending on the size of your project, Silvermill will return after a 6 or 12 month period to remedy any snags or settlement issues.

     
     
     

    Seven year guarantee

    To give you peace of mind our work is backed by a 7 year guarantee, so any defects or issues during this period will be managed and rectified by Silvermill without question
